I found myself in a furious debate with my daughter yesterday. Now it was about cleaning. I know that’s never been a strong point in my life but what can I say, “Who really has dreams about being a great housekeeper?” Well defiantly not me.
Here’s the point. If you wake up a day later being upset about the past day’s events, analyze and adjust your life to immediate corrections.
I consider myself a team player so when there is a group of people everyone should work. My children however did not see it that way so I was always the one doing the work. I would usually wait until they went out of the house before I would clean. I think they must have believed that some magical cleaning service can though and put their toys away, washed their clothes and cooked the meals. That’s because all that I did I hid from them.
By cleaning in the closet and not letting people see what you do and how hard you work can deceive your family or followers. They will never know what it really takes to achieve success in all areas to obtain their dreams and goals.
Now if you are working with a team, you must join mind and body and agree on steps to success. Let’s all just start with the team of YOU and begin. If I am working on it I will share. The fun for me will be to give you something to look forward too. Something’s are for the mind, a little for the body, with a whole lot for the wallet.
Today we begin again. I heard that saying, don’t put all your eggs in one basketmy entire life but today the meaning was never more clear. The emotional load of losing a loved one can often overload your basket of life and slow you down to a crawl.
In honoring my mother; who would have never let me waddle in doubt when she was here with me; I will work extremely hard to make her proud. Now, I choose to pour that love out to the world in honor of her. You can be diversified in income sources, social circles, friends and interest but most don’t break up the emotional stages of life. Don’t let your past whole you down and your fear of the future whole you back.
TRUE STORY:
My grandfather, my mother’s father was a chicken farmer. Now these eggs had to be collected every day from the chicken coops out back. He drove his horse and buggy up and down those country roads and delivered them every day. The work ethics that get passed down from generation to generation should not get lost to a lackadaisical attitude.
Consistency is the Key. Anything that you decide to do, stick with it, commit to consistency, be the best at whatever that is. Let people see who you are and they will follow your example. Be the leader you are meant to be, BY EXAMPLE.
